Locusts in Bloom

DSC00796

They were trees that Vermonters planted

100 or more year ago.

I believe the original intent was for a status symbol.

For us, a summer treat of flowers,

a great windbreak,

home for squirrels, starlings,

and endless sticks that shed on the ground.
