In the Northern Hemisphere
The Shortest daylight days
Are upon us.
It's a hard start to winter,
All this darkness.
The angle of the Sun
Traveling the horizon
The lowest arc possible.
From here onward,
Until June,
The Sun will show us
A little more light each day,
Hopeful for the new year.
