Halloween

Halloween

Easy to remember
Those days in late October
That scary day,
Costumes and play,
The truth obscured,
That creepy day.

Pumpkins carved with artful care,
Falling leaves everywhere,
Candied apples,
I close my eyes,
Go back in time,
My childish side.

Tomorrow all Saints come back to our plane.
Tonight the veil thinning again & again,
The veil so thin you can almost touch
Those who have gone before
So reach out if you must.

Happy Halloween πŸŽƒ !!

1960 something

In our Midwest Town

 Dark & Rainy

On Halloween Night

We went Door to Door

Trick or Treating

With Delight.

The Only Fear

Was Fear Itself.

We knew all the neighbors

Since We were born.

Who had the best candy

You had to keep moving

You have to fill your Bag!

Times have changed.

Scary…😳

Happy Hallowe'en

Happy Hallowe'en!

The Veil is thinnest today...

Shadows,
Dark,
Raining,
Cold,
Illusions,
Apparitions,
and
Treats.

Hallowe'en

Hallowee'en

Dark and blustery cold,
no snow here now but south of here,
slammed.

Memory fragments come to me,
images of hallowe'ens of before.

Costumes, alternate persona's,
apparitions, ghosts,
witches,
goblins,
and the dreaded
zombies.

We could make a costume out of anything,
Those days.
These days,
a costume comes off the shelf.

I remember being a hobo
or a witch with an old crinkly black dress
that sat in a box in the attic.

Was it Fanny's mourning dress?

Though I know that tomorrow it will all seem different,
today we feel the past like no tomorrow,

Hallowe'en
