Long ago
And
Far away
A rambling train of thoughts about the universe and our micro solar system consisting of our dear Sun and other planets in a magnetic dance while we hurtle through space on the face of a rock and stare at flat screens where we attempt to connect while we detach.
A white kitty in the Vermont Snow.
I don’t think She had a name.
We trapped almost 20 feral cats one winter,
Took them to be neutered, chipped and shots,
Then put up for adoption.
The days like this day are as perfect a day as this one,
The Marvelous View of Lake Champlain
Summertime.
A day We can treasure these days long ago,
Far away,
Yet always like Yesterday.
MG
It was a dark sad, sad Day.
Somehow I ended up sitting with My Neighbor and
My Adopted Grandmother, Mrs. Kuethe.
I was 5.
I learned Grief that day,
Profound Grief.
I wasn’t sure why We were Crying and
I found out.
President Kennedy had been assassinated.
No one was ever the Same.
I wasn’t really driving it.
Still a thrilling moment π» π
