Pluto, Speak

Pluto, Speak

Pluto, Speak, You are a planet,

Then you weren't
Then you were, er, are,
Or Are you?

We Earthlings are distracted,
By other Earthlings,
Mean, Ugly, Adorable, Nice,
They come in all varieties of the same strand.

So as the Twitter feed goes rolling by,
I do try to select the Astronomical Tweets,
Filter out the weird, boring, repetitive.
There was this one of Pluto,
I knew it meant a lot,
Right after I saw Titan's lakes.

So what are those lights,
or fires, lava,
or something we don't know yet?

Perhaps Pluto will Speak to us,
What are those lights?

Astronomical

Astronomical,
The photos from the Hubble, Nasa & more,
They aim their cameras
outward,
towards
space.
Since I was
little,
I gazed up in
Awe
at the stars, moon & planets.
Then I dreamed of
space travel,
and my place in all  of that.
We could have dreams like that
in the 1960's,
when slide rules
ruled
and the science was always up,up,up.

Not just a rock

Rocks sometimes look boring.
Some have intersting insides, like geodes, with beautiful crystalline centers and dull outsides.
Today's Astronomy pic of the day is a cross section of cosmic debris,
falling piece of asteroid, and not native to Earth.
Could these be seeds of change and evolution?

Astronomical

Astronomical info is readily available these days.
The Hubble has daily images along with APOD, the astronomical picture of the day.
Today's Hubble image, a special one.
I had a 1970 ish spirograph.
Here is the spirograph nebula
