Blog again....Travelogue for the Universe: 10 Years

Travelogue for the Universe: 10 Years: 10...Now 12..... Years Since that horrible day When so many lost so much in so many different ways. 30 years ago, I lost 2 friends, and plan to writ...

Hurts

I had hoped to post a picture of the no fracking pipeline sign on the corner.
This morning, a scant 12 hours after the sign was seen,
This morning, it was gone.
My voice, My passion, my mission to stop the Pipeline, Peaceably, with others at the forefront.
Me doing what I can.
Someone took my sign.
It hurts.
So instead of coming home tonight and posting my photo of the sign on the corner,
because it is gone. I had to express what was underneath all my angst this morning when someone stole something from me. In this case it is my voice they stole.
When I have been stripped of money, taxed to near death, worried about everything,
my voice is one thing I still have.
So it is not just a sign. It is a sign that expressed my viewpoint.
I cannot make it to meetings.
I blog, tweet, comment, fb, email,
all in my precious spare time.
This is what came out last night.
I also remembered feeling this way when our farmstand was robbed.

When it Hurts like the First Time,

When it Hurts like the First Time,

When they stole our bikes.

Our Aunt bought them for us,

We were poor,

It was a nice thing,

I fell in love with that bike.

3 speeds, hand brakes, Blue,

My favorite color.

Cool tires,

We picked them out ourselves,

Danny and I.

Sam got a trike.

One day we sped into the yard and parked them,

There in the front yard on east high st.,

3 doors down from the police station.

We ran up the front stairs of our house.

No doubt a race,

Forgetting the bikes.

Later,

Someone stole them.

Not only that, they destroyed them,

Stripped the gears, trashed the hand brakes,

Mom’s work helped put them back together

But scratched up and without the fancy stuff.

So today,

When I felt so proud of some neighbors for helping us express our protest of the proposed pipeline,

Other Unknown Person chose to steal the sign.

In disbelief I lost it,

Right there,

In the road,

On the way to my job,

Someone, some horrible person, stole my sign.

And it feels like the first time,

And that hurts so terribly.

When I moved to the country I thought I left behind some of the scummy people you find in the city.

It was a naïve move and not one I regret.

It is a move that makes me understand Rural life’s similarities to city life.

It also seems so petty to worry about a no fracking gas sign.

It really is the principle of it all.

And as I praise one neighbor and

Hope another sign nabber is caught in the act,

I still want the world to say,

“No Fracking…”, silently or out loud,

As often as you find tolerable.

Because this is all about a Gaz company wanting to take, Steal private property for their pipeline to big businesses.

When an unknown party stole the sign my kind neighbor left here,

They were stealing my voice.

And it hurt just like the first time.

and the anniversary of 9/1/1 reminds me of more robbery,
it all hurts

Neighbors

I saw the sign on the TV,
the Evening local News 22, abc.

Went outside to check for berries and
Fred called to come see the neighbors intervewed.
There was the sign, and interview of our neighbors who have to defend private property they own. We are proud to display a stop the fracking pipeline sign.
We wish the Neighbors well in their fight and hope private property wins.
Tonight is the big hearing in Middlebury. My heart is with my neighbors.
Will you join me in a sphere of Earthly Energies....chant this today,
no pipeline,Monkton,Vermont....Thanks

Monday

Monday

There's a nip in the air,

chilly start to the week.
Wondering how bad the winter will be.

The summer a cool and wet one,
Why wouldn't Fall just follow suit?

We mowed the lawn,
fighting cold and sticks
rain and wind,
soon snow will dominate.

I stopped for a second,
to smell the sweet lilac colored phlox,
The plants stood proudly,
never knowing the freezing snow will soon take it down.

Just

Just

a minute,
Wait a Second,
Don't hold your breath,
You'll just pass out.

Just a word,
They thought meant nothing,
Cut like a knife
til I bled.

Justify
your deeds
Good or Bad,
if you can.

Justice
Follows
such different rules.

Just
a handful of berries,
or a bee,
or a fair decision,
that is all we want.

Psalm Challenge 120

Psalm Challenge 120

Psalm 120
Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

120 I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.
2 My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

3 May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.
4 Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.
5 The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not burn thee by day:

 nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.
8 May the Lord keep thy coming in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.

Friday night musik

Oh yes, it is Friday.
This week was looking for an Alexis P Suter you tube.
Love this one....

tgif....

Waiting for 33,333

Waiting for 33,333

Then it will be in the past.

Why do some numbers have more meaning,
or seem to appear in Clusters?
3, Three, was my number for the week.

My blog visitor counter catches my attention,
More at certain times.
The all 3  number seemed a good one to watch for.

I found a marked down to $2 orphaned chipped figurine,
3 Rabbits, all in stages of laughter.
I donated it to my office with 3 great people.

Then I looked above my desk at the triangular rainbow mandala I painted,
Which made me think about the other 3 sided images I have painted,
A stable, steady construction, 3 sided objects like tripods.

Awareness of a number must subconsciously raise the chance you will see it.
Am fairly confident I will not actually see 33,333,
And yet I feel good to make it this far.

p.s. part of my liking this number is it reminds me of 11:11

Happy Birthday Dad

You Always know what to say
91 Today

DSC02360

You and Mom had quite a time,
Some of it did not rhyme
Most was as good as it ever gets,
So don’t go havin’ no regrets.
DSC02370

When Mom was 68, she had a heart attack.
We did not know if she would make it
Dad ended up buying her a ring, on a credit card, for a lot of money.
He was excited like a school boy. Look Mary, do you think she will like it?
Oh yes, I remarked, hoping she would not kill him for charging such a piece.
She snapped his head off.
I was surprised at how she could cut him to the quick, lashing.
I was seeing an intimate moment I wished I had not, although,
My Father apologized and let her trade it in on a diamond tennis bracelet
Years later I told Mom that story. She did not remember the altercation or the ring.
Or how much Dad really loved her.
I love you Dad, Happy Birthday
