Pieces of String

Pieces of String

Too short to save.

A coworker in my ICU days shared this saying,
Which originated with her frugal grandparents.
So many of us boomers faced the Echoes of the great depression of the 1930's.
Parents, grandparents, told stories,
Taught frugality.
We heard:
"Waste not want not"
"Don't throw it away, you may need it someday"

Tammy said her grandmother was so frugal that she had a box labelled,

Pieces of String,
too short to save.
