Blues for a teacher fighting political correctness…
It’s a brave new world full of Landmines for hard working People like being a Well liked French Teacher in Year 2 Covid-19 hysteria. Isn’t Everyone a little touchy? One problem I see is this self described transgender student must be under 18. Therefore Her/His Parents should be involved. Did they change his/her birth certificate? Driver’s license?
Next, why was a simple note by an adolescent child suddenly “changing genders”?
The Principal should have been the first person, along with School Board Officials with Parental input. This was a first offense! She said He said. My Husband calls our girl cat He all the time. He doesn’t love her any less. This French Teacher is the first, not the last one who will be punished. Fired, can’t get a job in his field. Now stressful court battles. So sad.
