Tuesday

Tuesday

Tuesday,
A So-So News day,
Pay your dues day,
Sing the blues day,
all night long.

Not a Monday,
Nor a Sunday,
No, Not Friday,
Though you wish it were
A Sunny Saturday,
Just not a blah day,
Just not Tuesday.

Was there really,
anything to say of substance,
about this so-so average day?

It's just that average days,
Well spent,
Give you better days to play,
in the sun's warm rays,
Contrasting  ordinary ways.

notes: did any of this make sense?
is partial rhyme ok?
Do you ever ponder how special an ordinary day can be?

Wind

Wind

It's such a fleeting friend,
Here this second,
Then Gone again,

Cannot see it,
Inviso-Power,
The Wind it howls,
Up goes the Tower (s),

Taller, and Taller,
The Towers they Grow,
Making the Mountain
An ugly eyesore,

The Beautiful View,
That drew us to you,
You were our Mountain,
Before they blew your top off,
And Ruined the Poetry,
We call the Green Mountains,

A more beautiful verse,
Than a Green Mountain Top,
Cannot be written,
But can be blown up.

I was drawn to the wind project listening to an interview on WDEV

Here's a link to the opposition article.

A Front

From another year,
a winter front
rolls and crashes,
warm and cold collide,
snow not far now.

History

History

My most memorable History class was with Jack McCarty.

High school Junior year I believe.
It was mandatory which meant
Everyone had to go in order to get a high school diploma.

Mandatory also meant
people attended whose feelings about history ranged from
Love to Hate,
interested to absorbed,
already interested,
never interested,
disgusted,
hating this,
will get back at teacher,
or
nap time.

Jack was so eternally enthusiastic,
that I forced myself to be interested,
then, as I listened to him in a room littered with
snoring, fidgeting, disinteresteds,
There I was being interested in history,
to this day.

Sometimes it would be so un class-like,
The students began losing interest
fast.
Jack would climb onto his desk and orate form there.
It worked for awhile.
Eventually the class would deteriorate again until the bell sounded for us to move along.

Thanks to Jack,
for My love of history.

Here's a movie I did of a reenactment...
dedicated this time to Jack...

Pyramid Power

Pyramid Power

try as I might,
seemed simple enough,
take photos from android phone,
to amazon kindle,
such a strange problem,
couldn't email to myself,
couldn't retrieve from cloud or google,
or anywhere.
so in a desperate moment,
I tweeted it,
then embedded here.
Did the Pyramids have anything do do with it? meg

To Mars Again

To Mars Again

Aryanna is my Martian name.

I got all excited the first go around.
NASA invited people to submit their name and email
and that info would go to Mars.
Yes, I did it,
My name went. I finished my blog book,
Interview with a Clone,
Which is about Mars.
My planet.
The Red Planet.

So I signed up and encourage you to sign up as well.
Join me.
(you have until 9.8.2015...Hurry!)

My name is going to fly on NASA's InSight lander!

Dad

Dad's birthday is today.

He would be 93.

Where is he now?

Dad

Dad, I tried to tell you,
Oh, so long ago,
That Mom she really loved you,
I just hope you know,
You two were meant to be,
Together,
Having children,
Even though,
The path uncertain,
You took just what you you need.

Dad, You said to keep on working,
Until you drop,
I did,
Still you'd say to get up,
Walk again,
I did.
The pain so sharp,
so deep,
My screams,
Muffled by genetics,
That Prussian blood,
Mixed with Mom's,
A Slavic, Swedish, Prussian Soup.

Dad,
You were the best,
A friend, a critic, a postman philosopher,
You shaped wood into cabinets,
Hammered nails,
Chipped ice off the cars
Made pizza
From the fresh groceries,
Bought on the Hill section of St. Louis.

Dad,
I told you to go to Mom,
From many miles away,
You were lingering,
Exactly where you never wanted to be,
Then the phone call,
Bitter relief,
and then
Those absent tears,
For Him.

The Blues Past and Present

I never tire of seeing Mom's painting of Main Street, Edwardsville, Illinois, US.
A couple of blocks from where I grew up,
er,
grew older.

When I heard
Wily Bo Walker, Karen K et al,
and enjoyed the artwork of
Susan Shulman,

seemed to make sense to put up Mom's painting,
Rest Peacefully, Mom,
although you are probably piloting a flying machine as I write this.

For Friday,
A Favorite tune,
in Wily Time.

Music link: Tedeschi Trucks Band - The Letter Poem: Invisible Malware made my Kindle Kindling

Tuesday music

melds into
Wednesday music...
More YouTube links from the Tedeschi Trucks Band...

Great music!

_______________________________________________________________

Now for the Poem,
Dedicated to the hours I have spent
Trying to get Google to talk nice to my Kindle, er, Kindle siblings,
one older than the other,
both succumbing to some mysterious malware,
invisible to malware detectors.
I emailed Google and am waiting for wisdom,
in the meantime,
if something looks wonky,
when you kindly visit my blog,
then please let blogger know
So I have affirmation of my
intuitions
about otherwise invisible malware.
______________________________________________________________________

Malware

Malware,
Demon Malware,
Whoever put you in my fire?

Is it Google,
That you target,
Or Silk or some obscure free game?

As I run the antivirals,
Never faithful
They will work.

Sure enough,
Invisible Malware,
Has escaped the 4 star app.

no this does not rhyme...meg
stay tuned...
