Stick Season....only the beginning

Stick Season goes on seemingly forevermore

For the first 30 years here I saw the winter to be too colorless without green
Just look up
On a cold clear day
You see what the leaves see.

Sonic Geometry link

As I listen to the World Series,
I recalled this video link that found me.
Transformative, fascinating,
Then relaxing as you tune into the ancient energies.
It takes
Half an hour or so,
It is bound to give you some answers,
Now what were the questions again?

The Drummer

The Drummer,

The beat behind-the-scenes
The pitter patter
The ta ta ta ta ta ta,
You sometimes hear,
When you listen.

Psalm Challenge 127

Psalm Challenge 127

as I work through the weekly challenges,
The Psalm challenges give me a chance to reflect,
Try to understand what the writers were getting at.
The songs filled with pain, sorrow,
Hope, faith
And
Love

I cut and pasted this piece below,
Not quite sure how the links will work.

I like this version...

Psalm 127

Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
127 Blessed are all they that fear the Lord: that walk in his ways.
For thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: blessed art

thou, and it shall be well with thee.
Thy wife as a fruitful vine, on the sides of thy house.
Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
May the Lord bless thee out of Sion: and mayest thou see the good things of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

And mayest thou see thy children's children, peace upon Israel.

Red Birds

Red Birds

My hometown was 20 miles from Cardinal Stadium in St. Louis.
My Dad born pretty close to the Stadium. Then were they The Browns?

Mrs. K used to purse her lips and sing song, "Red bird".....when she saw a cardinal.
Mom also adored Cardinal birds which rubbed off on me,
Undoubtedly from the very beginning.

Now the St.Louis Cardinals of baseball are playing Boston Red Sox.
Each team one one game so far.
I am rooting 4 Cards....

Waiting

Waiting

Never my strong suit,
Impatience, to the nth power.

Who among humans likes to wait?
No one I know.

Mom said to take notes,
Her voice in my head, a welcome friend.

She had to wait for this and that as well,
And never much liked it either.
Is that where I got it?

Usually the waiting looks like nothing,
When looking backward,
At the end of all the waiting.
